One beauty brand on becoming a 25-year-old startup after ending exclusivity with Boots
Having ended its retail exclusivity deal with Boots, Mark Hill Hair has appointed its first ever marketing director to steer the brand into a new era.
Mark Hill Hair has been stocked exclusively in Boots for more than 20 years, in fact, since the brand was launched by its namesake celebrity hairstylist, it has been akin to a Boots franchise brand.
However, in September, the beauty brand broke away from its Boots exclusivity deal and appointed its first-ever marketing director to steer it into a new era. “It feels like a startup at the minute,” says Gemma Montgomery-Dickens, speaking exclusively with Marketing Week.
