Coke crowdsources World Cup anthem
Coca-Cola is looking to crowdsource consumers to feature in its global 2014 FIFA World Cup music video.
The soft drinks brand and World Cup sponsor will begin asking for consumers to send in clips today (18 February) across its social media channels.
A minimum of 20 winners will be selected to have their clip appear in the final video, “The World is Ours”, which will be performed by US X-Factor finalist David Correy.
Coca-Cola has partnered with creative collaboration platform Talenthouse to showcase the submitted clips and help curate them into the final video, released in April 2014.
Joe Bellotti, Coca-Cola’s director of global music marketing, says: “Coca-Cola is everyone’s beverage and football is the world’s passion. We wanted to create a music video that can be everyone’s music video.”
